MANAGER TEXTILE/ ELECTRONICS/ PAPER, location: BUCHAREST

Responsibilities:

· Manage a group of 5 to 10 buyers.

· Ensure compliance with, and proper flow down of all departmental and company processes and procedures.

· Responsible for one main product category or a cluster of product categories.

· Supervise the day-to-day operations of the buying team to achieve key results in support of the business.

· Direct the daily workflow and schedules of the team, coordinating staff involved in sourcing, buying and order management.

· Organize and prioritize team and individual work to meet deadlines and objectives.

· Ensure Briefings, Purchase Orders and emails are responded to within the agreed timelines.

· Reviews and evaluates purchase request forms for accuracy and completeness.

· Lead larger buying or tender projects working closely with the Procurement department.

· Actively support in resolving supplier disputes with performance of work, invoicing…

· Work collaboratively with other Buying Supervisors.

· Maintain relations with all other departments.

· Point of escalation for account teams or other stakeholders.

· Weekly status update reports to the Buying Director.

 

Experience:

· The ideal candidate has 4 to 5 years’ experience working in purchasing / procurement roles.

· Knowledge of product regulations and compliance standards.

· Knowledge of production (plastic, metal, electronics, textile, other…)

· Experience working with Gift & Premium / Household / Sundries Item

· Strong supervisory, leadership and team building skills.

· Strong negotiation skills, result driven and persuasive.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Possess ability to mentor and train less experienced team members.

· Ability to read, interpret, and explain policies and procedures used in purchasing.

· Must be able to multitask while providing timely and accurate turnaround on tasks, sometimes with strict deadlines and moderate direction.

· Excellent IT and computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

· English is a must, other European languages or Chinese is a plus.

· Knowledge of sales and marketing principle is advantageous, commercials mindset.
