Job Description:
The BI Analyst applies analytical skills while working with members of the business and technology areas, and is responsible for organizing data related to the project needs and utilize technical expertise to ensure data is accurate and high-quality. Data is then analyzed, designed, and presented in a way that assists the team, the businesses, and project to make better decisions.
Candidate must be team-oriented and possess excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.
The BI Analyst will work from one of our locations while collaborating with the Global teams and provide support in the Data Purpose and Protection area. The person who will join this role will report to a local manager based in Romania.

 

Responsibilities:
▪ Responsible to provide analytic support by using various tools to perform detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis, interpret findings and present actionable recommendations to the leadership and project team
▪ Provide expert knowledge on BI tools and reporting to ensure business engagement discussions are guided towards achieving excellence in both the BI tool and reporting outcomes.
▪ Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.
▪ Conduct data analysis, data mapping and data modelling to identify technical solutions using SQL to understand and define the attributes and map the correlation of the entities.
▪ Translate Business Process into mapping and design concepts.
▪ Capture and maintain all documentation relating to findings.
▪ Manage the collaboration with all levels of the business and IT including project managers, business analysts, solution architects, developers, testers, and external vendors.
▪ Contribute to data governance by escalating data quality issues and inconsistencies for assessment and remediation.
▪ Facilitate integration and cross-team process alignment.
▪ Coordinate and participate in peer reviews of team documents.


Requirements:
▪ Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or an analytical field such as Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science.
▪ 1+ years reporting analyst and/or BI Analyst experience.
▪ Strong SQL skills, able to handle large, complex data structures from multiple sources.
▪ Experience using Data Visualization/BI tools (e.g. Power BI; Tableau, Excel/Gsheets).
▪ Experience using data and analytics as a central part of your role either as a user or creator.
▪ Experience in a variety of data & reporting and projects, specifically Agile environments.
▪ People skills, listening, integrity, ethical behavior, consistent.
▪ Strong at building trust, good verbal communication, conflict management.
▪ Strong problem-solving abilities, using structured thinking to identify root causes, opportunities and risks and implementing effective solutions.


Preferred:
▪ Data analyst experience analyzing and manipulating data from variety of production systems and data platforms.
▪ Experience creating Risk Exposure and other scoring rubrics.
▪ Ability to document processes for departmental operations.
▪ Ability to document processes for controls governance and effectiveness testing.
▪ Ability to map as is processes and define to be processes.
▪ Storytelling skills using a range of mediums (documents, presentations, verbal).
▪ Analytical and design skills, accompanied by practical development experience in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL).
