Our client is a global transportation company, present in more than 60 countries on five continents, headquartered in Montréal, Canada. Our client operates two industry-leading businesses: Aerospace and Rail transportation. Their 70,000 employees design, manufacture, sell and support the widest range of world-class products in these two sectors. This includes commercial and business jets, as well as rail transportation equipment, systems and services.


The HR Shared Service is responsible for talent acquisition to support the Bombardier businesses worldwide. The IT RECRUITER works with the business leaders and HR Business Partners to define requirements, agree recruitment campaign strategies and select candidates for all types of roles from trainees to Managers.

The IT RECRUITER advertising campaigns, source and select candidates, conducts interviews, administer tests or assessment centers for shortlisted candidates. Also, the job holder can be involved in planning and deploying the ramp-up of different recruitment project, aligned to business needs and Bombardier Transportation critical projects.

Once the successful candidate has been selected the job holders are responsible for the pre-employment checks according to the initial criteria defined with the hiring manager and for the on boarding process from initiating the offer and checking it, to ensuring that the line manager has started the induction and on boarding locally to enhance the new hire experience.


- Implementing the appropriate/innovative sourcing strategies, routes to market, candidate sourcing and pipeline activities across the all relevant local, regional and international markets

- Managing the assigned recruitment portfolio within the given KPI’s to ensure a professional service delivery at the expected quality and under consideration of the agreed timelines and cost

- Leading the Recruitment Kick Off meeting for completing all job requirements, sourcing channels and strategy

- Ensure that all services delivered meet general time and quality requirements

- Ensure that escalations and requests on hold are progressed

- Ensure effective communication and customer focused behavior to enhance customer and candidate satisfaction requirements

- Able to use all features and facilities of various tools: Taleo System (for recruitment process), search engines, databases, social networks; includes testing and training on systems changes, upgrades and new tools adopted

- Participate in projects to develop processes, systems and standards to continuously improve service delivery


- Degree level qualification (Master degree preferred)

- HR qualifications an advantage, but not prerequisite

- 5 - 6 years in a similar position, managing end-to-end recruitment processes

- Thorough understanding of recruitment processes and systems and hands-on experience with divers recruitment projects

- English skills are mandatory

- Excellent time management and organizational ability

- Positive and proactive attitude, with resilience under pressure
